Accomplishments

  Wireless Migration

Managed the transition from Cisco wireless to HPE Aruba wireless. Configured technical setup, created schedule of physical replacement, organized staff, and oversaw communication.

Macalester College

  Kickstarted Documentation System

Conducted research on various products and consulted key stakeholders before selecting documentation tool (Hudu) and managed migration to it from antiquated system of dispersed files. Created standardized templates and training guides.

  Created E911 Database

Created a system to connect network hardware with VoIP phone provider to allow emergency calls to be automatically located. Led audit of E911 system by a third party to ensure our systems exceeded compliance of local and national laws. Built up relationship with local emergency services.

  Moved Client Store

Led migration of client storefront to a new location. Configured server, end-user devices, new Point of Sales system, all networking, camera equipment, and worked with other vendors to ensure the store was able to open on time.

  Managed Cornerstone Fellows

Supervised five Cornerstone Fellows on their leadership journeys throughout the summer. Cornerstone is a leadership training program for staff at overnight camps. I was the facilitator for the participants who worked on inclusion, regulating tasks, and community building. The program kicked off each year with a leadership convention by Cornerstone.

  Created Accreditation System

Digitized written policies and procedures and created uniform writing standards, easing the process of accreditation by the American Camp Association. Managed accreditation process twice at Herzl Camp, once at Camp TEKO.

  Founded Annual NY Trip

Brought 80+ 7th grade learners (over 4 years) to New York with full itineraries of museums, restaurants, musicals, tours, ferry rides, and some sleep. Managed staff, coordinated schedules, wrote and led curriculum, handled all communication, and still also had fun!

  Founded Retreat Program

Created curriculum for five weekend retreats teaching 6th grade learners self-reliance, religious studies, and social action. Hired, trained, and managed staff who built relationships with their learners. Managed budget, communication, transportation, and feedback.

Network Administrator Manage wireless systems: eduroam®, Cisco WLCs and Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Aruba Central; manage Clearpass AAA/NAC server, EfficientIP DNS/DHCP/IPAM server, Zoom Phone VoIP service; manage student workers.
Oversaw decommission of wireless SSID to reduce infrastructure complexity: communicated with campus stakeholders, managed team of staff, adjusted group policies and Google Device policies, verified with a one-building test a month before the decommission date.

Set up and manage Emergency 911 system in Zoom Phone. Configured system for address locations to be automatically detected by the wireless and wired network infrastructure of the campus.

Migrations: Migrated companies email to Microsoft 365 email, preserving all user email and preferences. Migrated businesses to on-prem servers and to cloud-storage solutions.

Initialize: Onboarded new company clients and users with standard equipment and training. Set up servers, firewalls, and end-user devices and deployed on-site.
Talmud Torah of Minneapolis   2011 - 2019, 2021 - 2023
Classroom Teacher Taught grades 4 and 7 through 12. Created unique syllabi, executed weekly lessons for students.
Created, led, and oversaw 7th grade three-day New York Trip: Coordinated event schedule, included curriculum, managed parent communication, managed parent chaperones. Lead 4 trips with 11 – 28 students each year.
Managed Assistant Teachers: Empowered them with roles during lessons, set up quarterly meetings for check-ins.
Handled parent communication throughout the academic year (in addition to the NY trip) including conferences and report cards.

Camp TEKO Director Programmed online registration system; hired and supervised 60+ staff; planned programs for staff and campers; created annual budget; managed payroll; coordinated all schedules; created policies; and managed staff and camper recruitment, parent communication, kitchen, infirmary, and facilities; created camp store; designed print media for advertisements and regalia.
Standardized and digitized parent handbook, staff guidelines, and all other policies to simplify the accreditation process by the American Camp Association.
Worked with the Accounting department, communications, clergy, and community members to ensure the camp ran smoothly and safely.
Implemented feedback system to hear directly from staff, campers, and parents how programs were received and how to improve them.

Assistant Director "Guy on the mic" - ran all-camp events including meals, all-camp programs, staff training, and staff meetings. Managed schedules for staff presence, staff and campers' daily activities, and the annual summer operations. Oversaw logistics for counselor in training and staff hiring process including managing HR paperwork, coordinating interviews, managing applications, and onboarding.
Created and supervised ACA (American Camp Association) Accreditation process, ensuring the camp adhered to the over 400 standards required by the ACA. Standardized and digitized all policies, allowing a simpler process the next time.
Supervised participants in a leadership program, Cornerstone Fellowship, starting with a conference before the summer season and growing throughout the summer with regular meetings and feedback.
Created artwork for digital and print advertisements and fliers. Designed branded merchandise and created feedback group of staff, campers, and alumn to help form and adjust branded merchandise.
